Criminal Investigations Division
The St. Matthews Police Department Criminal Investigations Division (CID) is comprised of five detectives. This unit investigates all major crimes. At times, CID may work cases involving outside agencies such as the ATF, FBI, Secret Service, and Probation and Parole, as well as other police agencies.
The function and activities of the Criminal Investigation Division include:

Investigations such as theft, identity theft, forgery, credit card fraud, counterfeiting, burglary, robbery, disorderly conduct, domestic violence, assaults and sexual assaults.
