OBTAINING POLICE REPORTS

Copies of police reports made by the St. Matthews Police Department are available to the public. Reports are available 3 business days (M-F)  after the report is made. The officer will give the complainant/reportee a business card with the report number.

Reports may be obtained by mail or in person.

To pick up a report in person:
Bring the report number and a picture ID. The business office hours are 8:00 AM-4:00 PM Monday through Friday excluding holidays. The business office is located at 3940 Grandview Ave, St. Matthews, KY 40207. There is no charge to pick up a report in person.

To obtain a report by mail:
Send the report number along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Know that most accident reports need postage for 2 ounces. The charge for mailed reports is $1.00 and should be included with your request. Requests should be mailed to: St. Matthews Police Department 3940 Grandview Ave. St. Matthews, KY 40207.
