Officer Charles Portman has worked for the St. Matthews Police Department since 2006. During that time he has trained in accident reconstruction and evidence collection. Officer Portman is the recipient of the 2009 St. Matthews Officer of the Year Award and he has been recognized four times as the recipient of the Governor's Award for apprehension of impaired drivers. Before coming to St. Matthews, Officer Portman worked for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and the Shively Police Department prior to transferring to St. Matthews Police Department. Officer Portman works the late shift in the patrol division. |
